**Please note this recipe has been modified to add the grated Romano or Parmesan cheese when ready to mix with butter and milk when ready to use.

1 cup instant nonfat dry milk
1/3 cup dried minced onion
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper

Measure all ingredients into a large Ziploc bag, seal and shake to combine.

To Use:
Combine 1/4 cup Noodles Mix with **2 teaspoons grated Romano or Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons butter, and 1/4 cup milk. Toss with pasta. For variety, add 1/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese in place of the Parmesan cheese for a different taste.

Hi. Just found your blog. I have a question about the cheese in the recipe. Is it a fresh grated cheese or the kind that comes in the green canister from the store shelf?

Stacy - that is a very good question!

I googled "Alfredo Noodles Mix" to see if I could find the recipe with a little more detail. If found one at: http://www.recipezaar.com/Alfredo-Noodles-Mix-123691
and another at: http://www.budget101.com/recipes/id469.htm
Neither of them were more specific.

I was given the recipes from R. Hatch and have not yet tried them myself.

I think I will make modify this recipe for Alfredo Noodle Mix to mix the Romano or Parmesan cheese in with the butter and milk when ready to use. I don't feel comfortable storing cheeses on the shelf.

Thank you for your comment!
